Vermillion St. Auto Care opens in Hastings
A Hastings auto repair facility has new owners and a new name.
Jessica Otremba and Dustin Larsh are the new owners of Vermillion St. Total Auto Care at 1630 Vermillion St. They assumed ownership of the business a few weeks ago and are busy settling in.
For Larsh, opening the business satisfies a lifelong ambition. Larsh had been working for the previous owner of the facility and when it closed, the opportunity was ripe for the couple to step in.
"This has always been his dream, to open a shop like this," Otremba said. "We just went with it."
Now they are trying to get the word out about the ownership change and who they are.
"Our main focus is being a good business," Otremba said. "We want people to know that we're honest."
The Hastings residents have been busy cleaning the inside and getting organized. Running the business side of things is new to the duo, but fixing cars is nothing new to Larsh.
"He's been working on cars since he was 15," Otremba said. "His step-dad is a diesel mechanic. That's been the family trade."
Family members have been chipping in as Otremba and Larsh get organized. Meanwhile, Larsh is busy furthering his auto repair education. Otremba said they are a full service shop and can handle everything except auto body work. Larsh is working to add that to the business's offerings, too.
In addition, the business sells custom rims and can install things like alarms and remote starters.
They are open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
They can be reached at 651-437-3323.
