A three-vehicle crash at the intersection of 36th and Vermillion streets sent one person to the hospital and reduced traffic to a single lane Monday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol report, Joseph Lucas, 53 of Long Lake, was driving southbound on Vermillion Street when Angela Raskob, 78 of Hastings, pulled into the intersection from westbound 36th Street. Lucas braked, but was unable to avoid hitting Raskob. The collision pushed Lucas's vehicle into a third vehicle, driven by Dustin Strong, 31 of Hastings. Strong was stopped on eastbound 36th Street at Vermillion Street when the Lucas vehicle was pushed into his.

The crash was reported shortly after noon on Monday, May 23.

Raskob reported minor injuries and was transported to Regina Medical Center in an ambulance. Strong reported some soreness, but refused transport. All three vehicles were towed from the scene.

Raskob was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way.
