Faye Ann Riley, 60

Faye Ann Riley, age 60, of Prescott, Wis., died unexpectedly on Thursday, March 13, 2008, at her residence.

Faye was born on September 5, 1947, at River Falls Hospital, the daughter of Herbert and Dorothy (Stern) Yanisch.  She graduated in 1965 from Prescott High School.  In 1966, she married, had two children and later divorced.

In her youth, she enjoyed playing on the farm with her sisters and friends and writing to her pen pals while suffering from rheumatic fever. She adored her parents and always said she loved her childhood. She became a loving mother of two and worked for over 25 years at Smead Manufacturing in Hastings to raise her boys with the help of her parents and sisters. Recently "Grandma No No" most enjoyed playing with her 3 precious grandchildren and going to garage sales with them and Great Grandma Dorothy.

She was foremost a fantastic mother who selflessly gave to her children and took pride in the men they became. Faye loved to laugh and valued integrity and a sense of humor above all else.  She had an ability to listen and remember what it was like to be a kid, teenager or young parent and was infinitely loved and respected. Her two hour phone conversations with her mom, sisters, daughter-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends will be sorely missed and impossible to replace.

Faye is survived by her sons: Bill "Boomer" Riley of Prescott and Sean Riley and his wife, Julie also of Prescott; grandchildren, Hunter, Braeden, and Sidney; mother, Dorothy Yanisch of Prescott; sisters, Frances Buss of River Falls and Terri Hempel of Ellsworth; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Herbert Yanisch and her grandparents.

Mass of Christian Burial was to be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2008, with visitation one hour prior to Mass all at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Edward Shuttleworth officiated. Interment was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Prescott.
