CVS plans submitted to city

Plans for a CVS Pharmacy development at the northeast corner of 15th and Vermillion streets have been submitted to the City of Hastings.

The plans are being submitted first to the Hastings Planning Commission. Commissioners will review the plans and discuss them publicly at its next meeting, Aug. 26. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

The Planning Commission does not have the final say on the proposal. The commission will vote on whether or not to recommend approval, and the matter will be sent on to the full city council with that recommendation.

The public will be invited to see the plans, hear the discussion and add their own comments during the Planning Commission meeting. Notices of the public hearing will be posted on the city's website and on the city's social media sites.

Information may also be posted online on the commission's agenda. Agendas are generally posted on the city's website,, a few days before the meeting.
