Krystalle Duffy is Rotary Student of the month

Krystalle Duffy was nominated by her French teachers Jo Dougherty and Erica Peterson for the Hastings Rotary club Student of the Month award. This is what they had to say about Krystalle:

"Krystalle has been an invaluable go-to person as we are learning the ropes at Hastings High School. Whether it is explaining different intricate aspects of the workings of the French Honor Society, creating materials for our classes or writing up documents to use at meetings, Krystalle does it all with confidence and a smile on her face. Krystalle currently serves as the president of the French Honor Society, a role she is well suited for. We are in the process of organizing a town style Mardi Gras and Krystalle has been very involved preparing for this exciting event. I appreciate having Krystalle as an aide. Her French is exceptional and it is very helpful to me to send students who have been absent out to Krystalle to get individual attention and catch up. Her enthusiasm for French is infectious and I am very excited to be traveling with Krystalle to France with Language and Friendship this summer. Krystalle exemplifies leadership, positive attitude and true engagement in the school and it is with great pleasure that we nominate her for the Hastings Rotary Club award."

The Hastings Rotary consists of community members who embrace Rotary's concept of "Service Above Self." For more information, join them at 7:30 a.m. on Thursdays at the Green Mill.
