Hastings Concert Association memberships available for next season

Memberships are now being sold for the 2016-2017 Hastings Concert Association season. The season includes performers of Celtic music, banjo jazz, Broadway and comedy. Six concerts are scheduled.

The schedule is as follows:

Four Celtic Voices kick off the season at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. The four ladies have joined together to create a vibrant, vivacious and fresh Celtic group for the enjoyment of their listeners. They sing and perform on piano, Celtic harp, double-bowed psaltery, flute and bass.

The Banjo Boy Variety Band plays at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23. The band is four men with eight musical instruments playing classical jazz, banjo songs, swing blues, classic ballads, polkas and country.

Colleen Raye – the Babes of Broadway will be here at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. In the latest of the “Girl Singers” creation, Colleen Raye, Debbie O’Keefe and Katie Gearty will walk the audience through some of the greatest songs of Broadway, including some from My Fair Lady, West Side Story, Gypsy, Oliver, Wicked and Rent.

Wylie and Wild West are in concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7. Wylie Gustafson and his band have played thousands of shows, delighting audience around the world. The band is known for its blend of cowboy, traditional country, folk and yodeling.

A Band Called Honalee, paying tribute to the folksinging trio Peter, Paul and Mary, performs at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 16. This is timeless music of the 60s. The three-member groups takes a stroll down memory lane.

New Odyssey concludes the season at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 6. Gags, gusto and far more than simple guitar marks this unique stage show.

All concerts are at the Hastings Middle School, 1000 11th St. W. Membership are $60 for adults and $150 for families before June 30. After June 30, memberships are $70 for adults and $170 for families.
