Little Log House Antique Power Show is this weekend

The gates of the Little Log House Pioneer Village will soon open for the 24th annual Little Log House Antique Power Show. It runs July 25 through July 27 in Hastings.

International Harvester and Air Cooled Flywheel Engines are this year's main equipment features. A variety of makes and models of classic cars, trucks, tractors and farm equipment will be on exhibit throughout the weekend.

Tractor and truck pulls will be presented at the grandstand at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 26. The Squires Band will be performing a variety of music from polka to rock-n-roll on the festival stage daily from noon to 4 p.m. Re-enactments by the Cannon Old West Society will be at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. 3 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at various locations throughout the village.

Camp Hastings World War II re-enactments will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and new this year, they will be having a 1940s fashion show at 2:15 p.m. Saturday.

There is a daily parade displaying antique farm machinery, cars and trucks at 11 a.m. An outdoor worship mass will be held at the festival stage (weather permitting) at 8 a.m. Sunday.

The Little Log House Pioneer Village is located six miles south of Hastings on Highway 61 and east one mile on 220th Street. Admission is $10 for ages 13 and older, $20 for a weekend pass (children 12 and younger are free). The show runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, July 25 through Sunday, July 27.
