Two join to offer Vacation Bible School

St. Luke's Episcopal Church and First Presbyterian Church are joining together again for offer their second annual vacation Bible school. It will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 19 to July 23 at St. Luke's, 615 Vermillion St.

The theme is "Baobab Blast - God's Great Get-Together," with its overarching theme of community. Children will learn about trust, love, care, share and follow in an exciting African environment.

The cost is $10 per child and a nonperishable food item each night. The nonperishable food items will be donated to Hastings Family Service. Three fleece blankets made by the children will be donated to Lewis House.

Nightly activities will include supper, Bible lesson, art and crafts, snack, gross motor activity (playing outdoors), and music. The Friday evening activity will be potluck and program.
