A season’s worth of drama was packed into one football game on Friday night. The good news for Hastings fans was that at the end of the wild game, Hastings emerged with the season’s first win, 29-21, over Roseville.
At halftime of Friday night’s football game between Hastings and Woodbury, there were plenty of reasons for the Raiders to pack it in for the night. Hastings trailed 33-6 at halftime and it looked, on the scoreboard at least, that Hastings’ night was over with.
For years, Hastings football coach Dana Strain has stressed that his team needs to be competitive. He wants his team to have a chance to win games in the fourth quarter.
Last year, Hastings accomplished that goal.
This year, Strain wants his team to take the next step – he wants the team to start to win some of those close games.
