Lego-Mania at the library on July 26

Learn about Native American bead-work on July 21

Children ages 8 to 12 are invited to the Pleasant Hill Library on Thursday, July 21, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for a special hands-on workshop creating Native American bead-work. Children will learn about the significance of patterns and colors in bead-work, which reveal tribal and family connections. All materials will be supplied by the library.

Welch Mill Canoeing and Tubing’s open season usually runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day, with an early season and a late season running starting in April and ending in October. High water levels and fallen trees have forced them to close the river activities a number of times this summer.
