Minnesota legislative leaders met off and on Friday with Gov. Mark Daytons staff, with no agreement on major issues left before a self-imposed Monday adjournment deadline.

ZUMBROTA - Clad in a yellow rain jacket and rubber boots, Dennis Sprenger of Zumbrota stood out in the rain Thursday and watched as the banks of the Zumbro River rose over his garden, then his fire pit, and on toward his home.
Traffic was slow on westbound Highway 55 at about 8 a.m. July 28. Mary Reuter of Hastings was in the line of cars trailing a dump truck causing the slowdown. She was about five cars behind it, and had been following it since she got onto the highway at Pleasant Street.
WILLMAR, Minn. — Highway crashes involving farm vehicles and equipment are rare, according to statistics from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. But, crashes do happen and can result in serious injury or death.
