The Hastings boys tennis team improved its overall record to 3-4 and its conference record to 2-2 with a 5-2 win over Roseville, but lost some ground against Stillwater to go 3-5 overall and 2-3 in the conference as of Monday.
The first few Raider boys tennis matches of the spring led head coach Mick Willette to make some changes to the lineup, bringing some of the more experienced seniors to the more difficult singles matches and letting the younger players fill in doubles.
After the team season ended for the Hastings tennis team, the individual sub-section tournament got under way Thursday, May 21.
Hastings had two singles players and two doubles teams in the sub-section tournament.
Hastings boys tennis coach Mick Willette put it like this: “All good things come to an end, I guess.”
The good thing Willette referred to last week was the season the Raiders had. It certainly was a strong one.
