Mudhens eliminated after pair of losses 
Miesville was unable to come up with timely hitting at the Class B state tournament. It left two runners on in the ninth inning of two tight losses for the elimination. It’s the first time in the last three years that Miesville hasn’t advanced to the final weekend.

Hawks stun Mankato at state tourney
The Hastings Hawks did it again.
After shocking local fans and beating Dundas to qualify for the state tournament, Hastings faced the state’s No. 1 team and reigning state champion, the Mankato Twins.

Aces hold off Hawks in CCVL play
The Hastings Hawks returned to action at Red Wing on Sunday. After being off since the first of July, the Hawks took on the Red Wing Aces in a Classic Cannon Valley League game. Red Wing won, 2-1.

Mudhens and Aces to play July 4 in Red Wing
The Miesville Mudhens won two of three games during a busy stretch last week.
The Mudhens beat the Minneapolis Angels in seven innings, 12-1, on Thursday.
The Mudhens then put another dozen on the board in a 12-5 win over Rosetown on Friday.

Hawks win two of three in Green Isle/Hamburg
This past weekend, the Hastings Hawks traveled to Green Isle for the Green Isle/Hamburg tournament. The Hawks faced Fergus Falls in the first game and won, 4-3.

Mudhens win Tauer tournament
Luke Rasmussen had a dominating performance in the championship game at the Dewey Tauer Invitational Tournament. The pitcher led Miesville to a 3-0 win over the Aces and earned himself MVP honors for the tournament.

The Mudhens logged wins over Hastings, Randolph and Northfield.

Hawks’ losing streak hits three
Since defeating the Hampton Cardinals July 7, the Hastings Hawks have dropped three straight games, dropping to 9-5 overall and 6-2 in league play.
