Rivertown Days tennis tournament results posted
This year’s Rivertown Days Tennis Tournament featured 173 entrants in 16 divisions. Funds raised by the tournament are used to give a scholarship to a senior girl who has played tennis at the varsity level as well as to fund equipment and program needs for the Hastings High School girls and boys tennis teams.

A group of Hastings filmmakers recently won top honors at the 48-Hour Film Project in Minneapolis. The film, named “Coming Out,” won “Best Film,” “Best Directing” and “Audience Choice.” The crew was directed and produced by the husband and wife duo of Justin and Kristin Schaack, both HHS graduates.

The Hastings Planning Commission approved plans for a new car wash on the Shell Rapid Lube building at Hastings Chrysler. The car wash is being proposed for use by owners of newly purchased vehicles from Hastings Chrysler and Ford and would be located on the northeast side of the existing building.
