Cleanup: 50 miles of city streets need cleanup, only two cleared so far
One week after a severe storm that knocked down a significant number of trees across the city, crews are still hard at work clearing brush and debris. An update on cleanup efforts was released by the city today.

Connor Loch helps restore cemetery fence
Much of the fence at Soldiers and Sailors Cemetery has a fresh look to it, thanks to Hastings High School student and Boy Scout Troop 23 member Connor Loch. The Scoutmaster is Steve Forrey. During the weekend of June 2-3, Loch, several family members and friends restored the outside of the fence along First Street. The restoration was Loch’s Eagle Scout project, a project he first began thinking about last spring.
