For the third consecutive year, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church is offering the use of its parking lot for its annual tailgate sale. The event is from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1. For a $15 fee interested people can rent two parking spaces in the church lot, 2035 W. 15th St., and sell their items.

The Afton Museum is holding a free historic walking tour of the village of Afton on Sunday, May 5. Meet at the Afton museum at 1:30 p.m. The tour will start 2 p.m. and end at the museum at 4 p.m. Historian Ken Martens will narrate the tour.

Dakota City Heritage Village will hold its fourth annual Armed Forces Day World War II weekend on Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19. Saturday hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday hours will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The village is located at the fairgrounds in Farmington.
