Benefit for Mike Frandrup is Saturday, Aug. 18
A benefit for Mike Frandrup will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Stein Haus in Vermillion. A silent auction begins at 2 p.m., with the live auction at 5 p.m. A $10 donation includes admission, food and beverage. On May 21, Frandrup was admitted to United Hospital in St. Paul, with what was later confirmed to be a congenital vascular malformation in his spinal column, causing him to be paralyzed from the waist down.

Makenzie Leigh Meyers was born on Sept. 15, 2012, at Regina Medical Center to Kristy and Andy Meyers of Vermillion. At birth Makenzie weighed 8 pounds, 7 ounces and was 21 inches long. Makenzie has one brother, Charlie Meyers.
