Hastings couple charged in child pornography case
A Hastings couple has been charged with multiple crimes associated with the abuse, endangerment and neglect of a 4-year-old female child. The charges were filed last week after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) contacted Hastings police about an ongoing Internet investigation involving suspected production of pornographic works involving minor children.

Letter: Braveheart should be allowed to continue its good work
I am a volunteer for Braveheart Rescue, and have been since January of this year. I clean kennels, help with adoptions and help socialize the dogs. It saddens me to think of Braveheart closing.

Hastings residents have spoken, and the Hastings Police Department is listening. The 2012 HPD community input survey was conducted recently, and now the department is going over the responses to determine how it can address the issues brought up in the survey. Approximately 120 people took the survey.
