Letter: Pastor’s Corner missed its mark
The Pastor’s Corner two weeks ago was entirely hogwash. In the first paragraph, Pastor Paris Pasch claims that God never wanted us to experience any sort of hardship. For me, that begged a question: How could anyone possibly know what god's true intentions are?

For 50 years, the Bierstube in Hastings has been the place to go before and after a football game at McNamara Stadium at Todd Field. Boosters obviously are there more often than just those few Friday nights, sipping on suds and getting their fill. The Bierstube sponsors youth teams, bowling teams and softball teams, among others.

A lasting legacy: Dying from cancer, Mark Weber writes book to teach his sons
Mark Weber has been busy lately. He’s been the subject of much media attention, thanks to a self-published book he wrote called “Tell My Sons.” On Saturday, Jan. 19, the Rosemount resident will return to Hastings, his wife’s and his grandparent’s hometown, to present the book to Hastings residents. The book signing event will be held at the Pleasant Hill Library from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 19.
