Joseph Paul Voss, age 55, of Frederic, Wis., formerly of Prescott, died on Aug. 6 at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

Joseph Paul Voss, age 55, of Frederic, Wis., formerly of Prescott, died on Aug. 6 at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

He was born to Harlan C. and Evelyn Marie (Broko) Voss on Jan. 7, 1957, in St. Paul.

Joe had a heart of gold and would do anything for anybody. He loved his job as produce manager for County Market in Hastings. He was very family oriented and cherished the time he had to spend with them. He enjoyed watching sports, hunting, riding motorcycle, and fixing cars and anything small motor.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brother Butch; and stepson Nicholas.

He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Meier-Voss; children, Nate and Mandy Voss of Hastings and Carrie Paddock of Florida; stepchildren Neal (Melanie) Meier of Prescott and MacKenzie Meier of Prescott; siblings Hazel Gallmeier of Prescott, Pauline Eggers of Hastings, Jerry (Beth) Voss of Prescott, and Kathy (Joe) Sherry of Hastings; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and "the girls," Haley Joe and Brandy Rae, his beloved dogs.

A memorial service for Joe will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the Hill Funeral Home in Prescott. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
