Rosalie A. Bauer, age 80, of Hastings, died Jan. 8 at Regina Assisted Living.

Rosalie was born Feb. 11, 1932, to George and Rose (Taube) Landsberger, near New Trier. She attended rural schools and married Leo J. Bauer on Nov. 15, 1950, in New Trier. She farmed with husband Leo their entire life in Marshan Township.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo; infant twin sons; granddaughter Marissa Bauer; sister Delores Peine; brother George Jr.
Rosalie is survived by her 11 children, Glen (Nancy), Peggy (Mike) Knoll, and Leo Jr. (Joannie), all of Hastings, Ernie (Dorothy) of Sauk Centre, Minn., Charlie (Bev) of Hastings, Kenny (Mary) of Plum City, Wis., Leroy (Sharon) of Welch, Francis (Sharon) of Portland, Maine, Dave (Corina) and Kevin (Sue) of Hastings, Mary Bauer (Pat Tripp) of Dundas, Minn.; also 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; sister Irene Smith and brother Frank (Vicki) Landsberger of Hampton.
The funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Cole Kracke and Fr. Martin Siebenaler, will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings, with visitation after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers are Mark, Randy, Jake, Jason, Frederick, Kevin Jr., Eric, and Isaac Bauer.
