Spencer Connell, 17

Spencer Allen Connell, born Hastings, Minn., Aug. 24, 1995, to Oct. 28, 2012.

Spencer Allen Connell, born Hastings, Minn., Aug. 24, 1995, to Oct. 28, 2012. Our son and brother, who went before us to be with Jesus, is so deeply loved.

Spencer was a sweet, caring young man who will be so painfully missed but now lifts his hands in praise and worship to his King, God our Father.

The pain is gone for him, and our hearts are broken, to be healed that day when we see him again in heaven.

Spencer knew Jesus.

Those he left behind are many: father, Tim; mother, Karen; brothers, Judd and Will, and twin sister, Anna; and hundreds of loving family.

Spencer was a typical teenage boy in some ways, but he was an exceptional son, brother, and friend. He showed us that he loved and cared about us with his sweet soft spirit and giving ways.

The outpouring of love our family has received has shown us the love and graciousness of our amazing and wonderful God, who causes all things to work together for good, for those who trust in Him.

Memorial service to be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2035 15th St. W., Hastings, with public viewing from 2-4 p.m.

Arrangements were handled by the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, Hastings, 651-437-9419, www.caturia-smidtfh.com.

Tim and Karen and family. our thoughts and prayers and love are with you as you grieve thru this painful time. Hope that you find comfort in knowing that he is with his God and in a better, happier place. His problems overwhelmed him, and God understands. His funeral was on all Saints Day, and so i am sure he is with the Saints and God, grandparents, uncles, and other family members and friends gone before him. He is such a beautiful young man, and i really feel for his twin sister, who probably feels the pain very deeply. No words can comfort parents at this time, i know, but prayers and cares and hugs will help and i am sending them your way. syl
