Everett McCarthy, 75

Everett E. McCarthy, age 75, of Hastings, passed away Oct. 1, at Regina Medical Center.

He was born in Swift County on Oct. 29, 1936, to Robert and Frances McCarthy. He married Dorothy Diederich in De Graff, Minn. on Nov. 14, 1959. Everett was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Joseph, John and George.

Everett is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Robert (Michelle), Gerald (Terri), William, Edward (Denise), Evelyn (Bruce) Moore, Kenneth, Julie and Eugene; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bernice (Robert) Wollschlager, and Dorothy Spiegel; brothers, Patrick (Elaine), James (Alesa), and Raymond (Diane); and sisters-in-law, Marcy and Barbara McCarthy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. Gathering one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
