Michel M. St. John, age 65, of Hastings, passed away at Red Wing Health Center in Red Wing on Aug. 23.

Michel M. St. John, age 65, of Hastings, passed away at Red Wing Health Center in Red Wing on Aug. 23.

He was born on Sept. 27, 1946, to Max and Angela Moralez, in Hanford, Calif. He married Sheryl Thielman on June 23, 1989, at Camp Ripley. Michel was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of Southern Minnesota “Last Men’s Club” and a member of the Eagles Club.

Michel was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry St. John; children, Ryan St. John of Bemidji, Jason St. John of St. Louis Park, Samantha St. John of Hastings, Phil St. John of Hastings; brother, Pete; sisters, Nellie, Lupe.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Doug Duin, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. Gathering will be 1 hour prior to the funeral service. Interment, Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Sherry, Phil and Samantha, I haven't seen you all in many years, I am so sorry for your loss of your husband and a father. I knew Michel from the Eagles club, I always thought he was a very nice man. My condolences to you and the rest of the family. Leslie, Julia, and Johanna Donath
