Paul "Doors" Kane, age 75, of Hastings, passed away Aug. 18 at United Hospital in St. Paul.
Paul "Doors" Kane, age 75, of Hastings, passed away Aug. 18 at United Hospital in St. Paul.
He was born in Hastings on June 17, 1937, to Steven and Margaret Kane. He married Margaret "Margie" Kranz at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hastings on Aug. 24, 1963.
Doors was preceded in death by his father, Steven, and grandson Ricky.
He is survived by his wife, Margie; children, Kelly Berg, Tom Kane, Pete Kane, Katie (Chris) Rieder, and Jenny Kane; grandchildren Abbie, Molly, Ellie, Alex, Alivia, Will, Clare; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn; mother, Margaret; siblings, Bob (Judy) Kane, Pat Jorgensen, and Steven "Butch" (Joey) Kane; other relatives and many, many friends.
What will this world be without Doors? Heaven is in for a treat!!
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St., Hastings. A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, at church, and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. The interment will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. Memorials preferred.

What a great guy Doors was. Whenever I would see him he always said hi Polif-ski....and Margie was always good to my mother, Margaret Polifka. Wish I could have attended the funeral but I live in TX. Paulie, RIP. You will be missed. Barry PolifkaRichmond, TX 08/31/2012 9:21 PM
