Robert Carl Lenz: Husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, March 9, 1926-July 1, 2012.

Robert Carl Lenz was born in Hastings, Minn., on March 9, 1926, to Elsie and Carl Lenz.

Robert was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothea and Phyllis, and brothers, Lloyd and Floyd.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Katherine; three children, Michael (Bonnie), Lynette (Michael Dempsey) and Roxanne (Bernie Kottmann); nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.

Robert and Katherine left Hastings and resided in Roseville, Minn., for over 30 years, and he retired from the Sholom Home. Robert served in the Navy during WWII and was an avid outdoorsman. He was always willing and able to lend a hand to anyone in need and was well known for his ability to fix anything.

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 900 Summit Ave., St. Paul, at 10 a.m. Monday, July 9. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.

Memorials preferred to go to the church.
