Robert E. Bradley was born on Aug. 10, 1938, to Paul and Lillian Bradley.
Robert E. Bradley was born on Aug. 10, 1938, to Paul and Lillian Bradley. He graduated from Windom High School in 1956. Growing up, Robert helped with the farm, played basketball and baseball, even tried his hand at dirt track racing. He married his high school sweetheart and began a life raising four children, first in Mankato, and eventually moved to Hastings. Bob was involved in the community from the start. He was an active member of the Jaycees, served as president of the Hastings Hockey Boosters, helped transport for Just Friends, and worked with Caring and Sharing Hands.
When Bob retired from his tax and accounting business, he and Mary enjoyed traveling to the East Coast, West Coast, Europe, and especially the Rocky Mountains. During his last few winters he and his bride became snowbirds, spending their winters in Arizona.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronald and Gerald; and his wife, Mary.
He is survived by his children, Denise Swanson (Loren), Darcy Fuchs, Drey (Karen) Bradley, Dirk Bradley; grandchildren, Darin, Troy (Beth), Kellen (Courtney), Andrew, Michelle, Patrick, Elizabeth, Kurtis; great-grandchildren, Adrian and Adalyn.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday May 30, at Our Saviours Ev. Lutheran Church with a visitation 1 hour before. Wake will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home.
