Dora H. Seleski, 91

Dora H. Seleski, age 91, of Hastings, died Feb. 24 at Augustana Health Care Center.

Dora was born to Albert and Emily (Jordan) Reeve on March 4, 1920, in Mazomanie, Wis. She married Andrew E. Anderson on April 2, 1938, and he preceded her in 1968. She married Stephen S. Seleski on Jan. 15, 1970, and he preceded her in 2005. Dora was a homemaker and also worked at the Hastings State Hospital in laundry and then food service.

She enjoyed china painting, quilting, doll making, and was a member of the Esther Circle at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.

Dora was also preceded in death by her son Donald Elvin Anderson; granddaughter Amber Pugh; step-child Nancy Ann Thompson; brother Scott Reeve and sister Marie; daughters-in-law Mary Jo and Marilyn Anderson; son-in-law Rick Downs.

Survivors include sons Kenneth Ray (Marilyn) Anderson, Leland Lauris Anderson, Larry James Anderson, all of Hastings; daughters, Linda Kay (Michael) Jacobson, Patricia Joyce (Kevin) Raway, both of Hastings, Pamela Lynn (Leonard) Stoltz of Sauk Rapids, and Susan Marie Downs of Hastings; stepchildren, Patrick Stephen (Nancy) Seleski of Harris, Minn., Daniel John Seleski of Hager City, Wis.; 30 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews.

Local funeral service, officiated by Rev. Doug Duin, is being held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Our Saviour’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 400 West Ninth St., Hastings, with visitation 1 hour prior to service. A funeral service will also be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, at Vermont Lutheran Church, Black Earth, Wis., with a visitation held 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
