Harlan H. Hartung, 66

Harlan H. Hartung, age 66, of Hastings, died Feb. 19.

Harlan was born Jan. 6, 1946, in St. Paul, to Milton and Adria (Rentz) Hartung. He was a 1964 graduate of Park High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Harlan formerly handled boiler maintenance for various businesses and was formerly employed as a bus aide for the Hastings Bus Co. He enjoyed nature and spending time outdoors.

Preceded in death by his parents and brother William, Harlan is survived by his seven siblings, Jerry Hartung of Minneapolis, Arlene (Skip) Norton of Mounds View, Gene Hartung of Prescott, Wis., Tom (Linda) Hartung of Pine City, Gary (Candice) Hartung of Prescott, Connie Oehlke of St. Paul, and Marcia (Dave) Robens of Cottage Grove.

The memorial service, officiated by Gordon Gathright, will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Caturia-Smidt Funeral Home, 201 E. Seventh St., Hastings, with visitation 2 hours prior to the service. A private interment will be held in the spring at Cottage Grove Cemetery.
