Thelma came to Rosemount, Minn., with her family in 1935 and later the family moved to Hastings, Minn., where she graduated from high school in 1951. Thelma worked for the Hudson Manufacturing Company of Hastings for several years after graduation and later moved to Minneapolis where she was employed by General Mills for 15 years. Her personal faith in Christ was displayed as she became an active member of the Powderhorn Park Baptist Church where she regularly taught Sunday school and found real joy singing in the church choir. Thelma also found time to volunteer one day a week at Whittier School helping with the students.
