Ryan Giefer of the Hampton Cardinals is greeted after his first-inning, line-drive solo home run at Lions Memorial Park in Bird Island on Saturday afternoon in the opening round of the Class C Minnesota State Amateur Baseball Tournament. It was the game's only run until the Region C3 champions exploded for six runs in the bottom of the seventh en route to a 7-0 win over Norwood Young America.
