As I sit at my desk and saw this, my mouth dropped! I just saw Penny a month ago with Dana. She was improving so much! I do have to smile as I can picture her in heaven with Nancy Julius Knox, and many of her other friends, laughing and reconnecting. Not only is Penny a wonderful and very special person, but her family is just as incredible. She raised wonderful children and our community is very blessed with all of you and we will miss Penny terribly. Blessings and strength to your family! Maralee Knoll

My Deepest condolences to the entire Pettit family. I have very fond memories of your Mother and family. Through High School, Dawn would give me rides to school in the mint green Monte Carlo that Penny handed down through her girls. Penny & Wally were always very good to me Dawn as were you. Your Patents took me to the MN State Fair with you & we stayed int he Motor home : ), They let Dawn invite me to Florida with them, that was quite a gift, they were so giving. And I cant forget the cabin up at Lake Oswinnamokee. Penny & Wally, Thank You for all your gifts and you WERE ALL about family. Dawn, Thank you for bringing them and yourself into my life, I cherish all the memories. May they both live in your hearts forever. Kara E. Ramsey (Welter)

Dear Pettit family; I LOVED Penny. What a beautiful woman with a glowing spirit. I am so grateful that I had the honor and blessing to know her. One of my favorite photos from my wedding is the one of her gaurding my cake. I love that picture!! And I will never ever forget the freezing cold and rainy November morning, she and I kept eachother company as we waited outside Target for a cd to be released!!! What a wonderful woman!!
