Farmers place in state corn yield contest
Two entries from Hastings recently placed in the 2012 National Corn Growers’ Association’s (NCGA) Corn Yield Contest in Minnesota. Bill Schaffer of Hastings earned second place in the Irrigated division with Pioneer brand hybrid 34F07, which yielded 289 bushels per acre.
