Inmate assaulted, charge filed
A 22-year-old Apple Valley male, Kris Laymar Ewing, has been charged with assault in the third degree in connection with a Sept. 2 incident in the Dakota County Jail in Hastings. Ewing, who was being housed in the jail on a separate incident, apparently assaulted another inmate.
