FEMA changing 100-year flood levels
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is in the process of changing the 100-year flood elevation levels in Dakota and Washington counties, but Hastings Planning Director John Hinzman doesn’t think the changes will be too drastic here, and that it’s looking like FEMA is going to take land out of the floodplain, as opposed to adding new land to it.By: Keith Grauman, The Hastings Star-Gazette
