The meeting also had a huge overhead projector with the same images. There were a few instances where only the handouts had the info, but for most of the presentation the image was quite visible. Council members also had the sheets the articles referenced, and I did indeed hold them. :) I found all material to be easily read and understood, from my perspective. Everything submitted is on public record, and I do encourage you to contact City Hall and ask to see (or receive) copies, if/when convenient. I believe the entire meeting will also be on the community television channel, and there were audio recordings (KDWA) for anyone reading this who just wants that part. - Tony Alongi, Ward 1 Representative, Hastings City council.

No sir. I was not present at the meeting unfortunately. My volunteer schedule in Hastings includes approximately 125-150 days of every calendar year, and Monday was one of those days. My comment was more directed towards the comment made by the author of the article who described the 11" x 17" schematic as "large". The bridge site area is a densely populated area, as far as structures for business and city infrastructure go. I would have anticipated that any graphic representation of the area would have necessitated a larger physical media, than magazine size in order to show any practical amount of detail. Again, these are assumptions I have, given the data given in the article. Thank you for your response. Perhaps you could speak to the detail of the drawings from a better perspective, having assumedly held them personally?

Jack, I wasn't able to attend the entire meeting - so I might have missed when you brought this up. Did you ask staff from MnDOT or the city for a larger schematic at the time? - Tony Alongi, Ward 1 Representative, Hastings City Council

"Large 11" x 17"? When did 11x17 become large?? Are you suggesting the entire city of Hastings doesn't include a plotter that can print a schematic of a size appropriate for printing something of this nature, which quite obviously deserves a much larger graphical representation than a Life Magazine size???
