You have nothing on which to base that accusation. I HOPE for both agreeing, and dissenting viewpoints. It gives us insight on our neighbors' positions. I have lots of things to do. I am interested in the town and its success for many reasons. I was born here. My children are schooled here and play sports here. I have a vested interest. Brian, you're wrong. I have no issue with people not sharing my opinion. I merely ask that they clarify their position and defend it. This article brought discussion. Am I out-of-bounds for asking someone to defend an opinion? I don't think so. But to say I can't stand when someone disagrees with me is blatantly false. And whichever dullard said I'm annoying probably hasn'y posted an original thought in this discussion to begin with. But I'm the one you want to take out the frustrations of your crappy life on, right? And by the way, I am probably more involved in volunteering in Hastings than you are, so you may want to reconsider the boundaries of "your" community to include those that try to help make it what it could be.

What a very sad thing, an 18 month old has not only died but has suffered beatings. Things like that should never happen. My heart goes out to the family and the authorities who are dealing with this.
