Non-profit workshop set
The workshop “990’s Do Matter,” a workshop designed to help nonprofit organizations of all sizes understand the IRS’s recent changes to the Form 990, is scheduled from 8 a.m.-noon Friday, July 18, at WITC-New Richmond. The workshop is open to nonprofit organizations in Washington and Chisago counties in Minnesota and Pierce, Polk, and St. Croix counties in Wisconsin. The IRS recently overhauled its Form 990, the basic reporting document for nonprofit organizations. The new 990 expects each organization to report on governing policies and procedures, going beyond the form’s previous focus on finances. Cost is $20 to $25 per person. For more information, and to register, go to www.scvcf.org/news_calendar.htm and click on the training brochure. Questions can be directed to Jill Shannon at the St. Croix Valley Community Foundation, (715) 386-9490 or email@example.com.
