National Park Service seeks favorite river views

The National Park Service is conducting a Scenic Assessment of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area/Great River Road Scenic Byway, in conjunction with the Mississippi River Parkway Commission.

The National Park Service is conducting a Scenic Assessment of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area/Great River Road Scenic Byway, in conjunction with the Mississippi River Parkway Commission.

The project is collecting public input on scenic viewpoints from Dayton/Ramsey to the north and Hastings/Prescott to the south.

Participants can record their favorite views by using the online form at https://mymississippiview.crowdmap.com/main.

Submissions will be accepted through Friday, Feb. 22.

Volunteer opportunities are also available. Scenic assessment sessions will be held April 18-22 and May 30 into June. More information on volunteering is available by checking a box on the submission form. Information will be sent once data is collected.
