The Hastings wrestling team is one win away from repeating as Suburban East Conference champions.
The Raiders beat Forest Lake on Thursday night, 42-23, to remain perfect in SEC action.
After Hastings wrestlers lost the first two matches on the night, Luis Sanchez earned some big team points, recording a pin at 2:28 to make the score 8-6.
Jake Spitzack had a big match at 126 pounds. He lost by decision to the No. 4 ranked wrestler in the state, 6-4.
Luke Rowh won, 2-0, over the No. 6 ranked wrestler in the state, to make the score 11-9 in favor of Forest Lake. Rowh is ranked No. 1.
Austin Eichmann won at 138 pounds, 10-2.
Jake Anderson won at 145 pounds, earning a pin at 1:40. He is ranked No. 9.
Stuart Mattison made it four straight wins for Hastings, earning a 12-4 win at 152 pounds. Hastings led 23-11 after his win.
Dan Marquette won at 170 pounds, earning a pin at 2:51, to make the score 29-17. He is ranked No. 8.
Andy Rachuy won at 182 pounds, 9-0, giving Hastings a 33-17 lead. He is ranked No. 9 in the state.
Daryale Harris won at 195 pounds, 7-4.
Tony Lodermeier then won by fall at 285 pounds, earning a pin at 5:21.
Hastings competed at the Anoka Duals over the weekend.
In the opener, Hastings beat Andover, 62-9.
Kyle Erickson (106 pounds), Spencer Kopp (113), Sanchez (120), Spitzack (126), Rowh (132), Eichmann (138), Anderson (145), Mattison (152), Logan Gove (160), Cullin Brendeland (195), Harris (220) and Lodermeier all won.
Hastings led 44-0 at one point in the match.
In the second round, Hastings beat Anoka 46-25.
Sanchez, Spitzack, Rowh, Eichmann, Anderson, Marquette, Rachuy, Brendeland and Lodermeier all won.
In the final, Hastings lost to Cambridge-Isanti, 37-20.
Spitzack, Rowh, Eichmann, Anderson and Harris were winners for Hastings.
