into national Catholic honor society at
Madeline O’Brien, Hastings, was inducted into the Omega Chapter of Delta Epsilon Sigma (DES) on Feb. 10 at the College of Saint Benedict, St. Joseph. O’Brien is one of 14 CSB students selected. O’Brien is a junior English and Hispanic studies double-major at CSB. O’Brien serves an advocate for educational issues as an Education Club officer and is an editor of the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University newspaper, The Record. While studying abroad in Chile during the fall semester, O’Brien volunteered at a British high school and helped encourage and empower teenage girls in a gym class. She is the daughter of Vincent O’Brien and Marcia O’Brien of Hastings.
