Donald A. Hamilton, 67

Donald A. Hamilton, age 67, of Hastings, passed away at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis on Jan. 15.

He was born in Wabasha to Dale and Lillian Hamilton on June 28, 1945. He was employed at Cenex as an over-the-road truck driver. Don married Sheila Rynes in Watertown, S.D., on June 28, 1974.

He was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Don loved spending time with his grandchildren and was always up for a good game of BINGO.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dale, and great-granddaughter Sophie Hamilton.

Don is survived by his wife, Sheila; children, Dominic (Julie) Hamilton, Monica Hood, Ocie Bursott, and Patrick (Ruth) Hamilton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; mother, Lillian Hamilton; sister, Barbara Hamilton; brothers, Dale (Joy) Hamilton, Gary (Mary) Hamilton, Ray (Jan) Hamilton, and Lee Hamilton; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor James Bzoskie, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. Gathering 1 hour prior to the service.
