Police report preview - Dec. 15 to Dec. 21

• Someone damaged two lighted deer in a resident’s lawn. The deer were damaged beyond repair. The deer were prominently displayed along the 500 block of Tuttle Drive.

• Electronics were stolen from the 1700 block of Frontage Road. A dark minivan or SUV pulled up and four people exited the vehicle. The four people entered one at a time. They all went in different directions upon entering the store.

Two people later teamed up and stole a number of electronic items totaling more than $4,000.

Officers have a lead in the case and are investigating.

• A rural Hastings student found a bullet on the ground while waiting for his bus. He picked the bullet up and put it into his backpack. During class at the high school later that day, the bullet fell out of his backpack, causing quite a stir.

Officers investigated and determined the student’s story checked out.
