Raiders tie East Ridge, 3-3

It is quickly becoming the season of the Suburban East Conference tie for the Hastings Raiders girls hockey team.

It is quickly becoming the season of the Suburban East Conference tie for the Hastings Raiders girls hockey team.

On Thursday, Hastings tied East Ridge, 3-3.

Hastings is 2-1-3 in its last six games.

Ties have also come against Forest Lake and White Bear Lake.

Against the Raptors, Hastings fell behind 1-0 in the first period.

In the second, the Raiders scored three unanswered goals to take a 3-1 lead into the second intermission.

Elle Cooper scored two of the team’s goals. Danielle Duffy scored the other one, short-handed.

Assists were made by Duffy (two) and Sara Pevonka.

In the third period, East Ridge pulled to within one goal at 1:57, with a goal on the power play. They tied the game at 5:07.

Hastings had six penalties in the third period alone. East Ridge had three.
