Hastings boys hockey team falls to East Ridge, 4-3

The East Ridge Raptors came out on top of a back-and-forth boys hockey game against Hastings last week.

The East Ridge Raptors came out on top of a back-and-forth boys hockey game against Hastings last week.

The Raptors won, 4-3.

Hastings fell behind 1-0 early in the contest, but the score was tied at 9:49 when Mark Huneke scored, assisted by Andrew Bussey and Matt Koch.

East Ridge added a goal just 19 seconds later to go back up, 2-1.

Huneke tied the game again, with this goal coming at 14:58 on the power play. He was assisted by Bussey.

Hastings then went up in the second period. Joe Shingledecker scored at 7:50, assisted by David McConnell and Koch.

East Ridge tied the game 3-3 at 8:43, then added what turned out to be the game winner at 15:36 on the power play.

Matt Radke played in goal for Hastings and made 20 saves on 24 shots.
