Hastings falls to Mounds View, 86-72

It certainly wasn’t a lack of offense that hurt the Hastings boys basketball team on Tuesday night in a Suburban East Conference game against Mounds View.

It certainly wasn’t a lack of offense that hurt the Hastings boys basketball team on Tuesday night in a Suburban East Conference game against Mounds View.

Hastings scored a season-high 72 points, but it wasn’t enough to stop the balanced scoring attack of the Mustangs.

Hastings trailed 45-28 at the half, then outscored Mounds View in the second half, 44-41.

Sam Skoyen led the way for Hastings, scoring 28 points.

Also scoring for Hastings were: Alex Wiese, 3; Ross Dylla, 5; Drew Pottinger, 9; Joe Dittrich, 10; Bryce Garvey, 9; Craig Nielsen, 8.

Mounds View had two players score 23 points each. They were Ryan Kazinski and Tim Hanson. Ben Spencer added 18.

Hastings plays at Park on Friday, Dec. 21.
