While the Hastings Raiders don’t have much experience returning to the court this season, that doesn’t mean they are void of talent.
That was evident Tuesday night in the team’s season-opener.
Hastings beat South St. Paul, 63-30.
Craig Nielsen led Hastings in scoring with 16 points. Sam Skoyen had 13 points.
Hastings built a 38-15 lead at halftime and grew that lead in the second half by outscoring the Packers, 25-15.
Also scoring for Hastings were: Zach Wiese, 2; Alex Wiese, 5; Chris Webb, 6; Ross Dylla, 4; Bobby Verchota, 2; Drew Pottinger, 7; Joe Dittrich, 4; and Josh Brown, 4.
