Victorian Holidays at the LeDuc Historic Estate
Enjoy the magic of the holiday season at the elegantly decorated LeDuc Historic Estate, 1629 Vermillion Street, Hastings on Dec.1-2 and Dec. 8-9. The 1860’s Gothic Revival mansion will be ornamented with beautiful Victorian décor and fit for the finest occasion with family and friends.
Enjoy the magic of the holiday season at the elegantly decorated LeDuc Historic Estate, 1629 Vermillion Street, Hastings on Dec.1-2 and Dec. 8-9. The 1860’s Gothic Revival mansion will be ornamented with beautiful Victorian décor and fit for the finest occasion with family and friends. Guided tours, along with vignettes of how the LeDucs prepared for the holidays, will be available each of these dates at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., 1p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. (at regular rates of $3-6 per person, free tours for DCHS members). The Museum Shop will be available for holiday shopping. Groups of eight or more individuals should call ahead to make advance reservations.
On Dec. 2 from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. a four-course gourmet Victorian Dinner, catered by The Onion Grille in Hastings, will be served. Guests will enjoy fine dining and will also be treated to professional music and drama throughout the evening. See www.dakotahis
tory.org for menu selections. Dinner guests should arrive at 3:45 p.m. for a free guided tour of the Estate. A social hour with wine, sparkling juices and seasonal appetizers begins at 5 p.m. with dinner seating at 5:30 p.m. Following dinner, guests are invited to enjoy coffee, conversation and the Estate until 9 p.m. Reservations are required and prospective guests should call 651-437-7055. This event fills quickly, so early reservations are advantageous. For members of Dakota County Historical Society the cost is $50 per person and for non-members the cost is $60 per person.
The LeDuc Historic Estate is owned by the City of Hastings and managed by Dakota County Historical Society.
