'Downtown Holiday' planned for Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24

A unique event has been planned for downtown Hastings on Saturday, Nov. 24, as part of Small Business Saturday.

There will be free reindeer sleigh rides, pictures with Santa Claus, Christmas carols and free gift wrapping of any purchase from a downtown business.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at merchants throughout downtown.

Gingerbread creation contest planned

A gingerbread creation contest is planned as part of the Hastings Downtown Holiday celebration.

Entries for the contest must be turned in by Nov. 19.
