Highway 50 near New Trier closed after fatal crash

Highway 50 near New Trier is closed following a fatal car crash this afternoon, Nov. 8.

Lt. Eric Roeske of the state highway patrol said that the crash involved one vehicle with two occupants inside. The vehicle went off the road and both occupants were ejected. One was killed and one was airlifted to Regions Hospital.

The crash occurred at around 2:40 p.m. on westbound Highway 50, just west of New Trier.
